While you might think our name — Clarity Tax Service — says it all, in fact there’s more here than meets the eye. In fact, we're well equipped to handle a vast array of tax and accounting needs.

Here are specific descriptions of our services:

General Accounting Services:

We can review your full accounting system, and help set it up, clean it up, or just make it better.

We can recommend better financial controls, cash flow management, and help you meet all federal, state and local reporting requirements. We can book your receipts and expenditures on a ongoing basis, issue quarterly and annual reports, prepare your 1098s and 1099s, and – of course – take care of your tax needs. And while we do not generally handle payroll services, we can help you set up a robust payroll system, or advise you on selecting a reliable vendor for such services.

We can also prepare your W-2's at the end of the year.

Is your business new? We can assist in new business organization, including accounting system planning and set-up.

QuickBooks:

We love working with QuickBooks, and would love helping you with your QuickBooks installation. We can advise you on the most economical and reasonable version of the program (and even the cheapest place to buy it!) for you business needs – ranging from “QuickStart” all the way up to Intuit’s most powerful products. We can install the program for you, and set you books up to meet your exact needs.

If you already have QuickBooks installed, we can review your accounts, and make any corrections as needed. We also assist in setting up credit card processing within QuickBooks.

Finally, we’re delighted to offer one-on-one and small group instruction on using this powerful, elegant – but, occasionally, confusing – software.

And, of course, Clarity is a fully-equipped tax service.

We handle tax preparation for individuals, partnerships, LLC's, and S-Corporations, and also do personal property tax returns.

Note that we never out-source our work overseas, as many local and national accounting firms — including some of the largest "prestige" firms now do. At the same time, our pricing is extremely competitive; depending on the return, our fees range from 10% to as much as 50% less than the major tax preparation chains.
